Previously I have tried out two Milani products, being their cult favourite baked blush in ”Luminoso” which is the product that really caused Milani to blow up which I personally loved the formula and colour, and the other product I have tried is their face powder, which I found the colour to be too yellow, but the actual product is nice enough, but nothing extraordinary in my eyes.

So, when I received eight Milani products in my makeup swap with @makeupblissness I was intrigued! I have heard great things about many of their products, particularly their lipsticks and eyeshadows, and I received four of each, which I was very excited as it meant that I was able to try out a variety of colours and finishes in both categories.

Just a quick spoiler, I love both of these products, every finish and colour, total recommendation to anyone of all these products. Regardless, I will go into further detail, and elaborate on the products below.

First up the eyeshadows:

I was given four eyeshadows by the beautiful Erica, they are so up my alley in terms of colours that I gravitate toward, and also, all but one of these eyeshadows are a satin matte finish, which means that they are matte, without being flat or dull looking on the eyes. The colours I have are in a clockwise circle:

  • Bell Ivory
  • Bella Chiffon
  • Bella Cappuccino
  • Bella Espresso

These are obviously the ”bella” eyeshadows, and all but Chiffon are satin matte finishes with chiffon being a shimmer/highlight finish. All the colours blend beautifully and are reasonably pigmented but not overly to the point that you have to be overly careful when it comes to application. Cappuccino is my favourite personally, it is a beautiful warm toned brown that is a lovely transition colour or all over the lid.

I was also gifted the four Milani lipsticks in the two finishes being the matte finish and the regular finish. The matte finish is gorgeous, it is matte without being drying, but I would recommend using a lip scrub just before application if possible to avoid any dry patches from becoming prominent, and they do need continual application if you’re going to be eating or drinking, just bring the lipstick with you and you’re safe! The other formula is great also, its creamy and not too glossy or shiny, I really enjoy this formula as well and would recommend that to anyone, even if you are a matte finish fan, these are really lovely to wear as well!

The colours I have are:

  • Nude Creme
  • Violet Volt
  • Matte Confident
  • Sangria

These colours are gorgeous and I really enjoy all the shades, totally recommend these lipsticks!

Overall, obviously I adore both of these products, they are excellent and are well priced from what I understand, so Milani the real question is why are you so difficult to access in Australia! Come on over!

Big love x
