Brand Focus

BRAND FOCUS: Jeffree Star Cosmetics.

Okay, super quick preface that I wish I didn’t have to give, but it’s the internet, people are savage. If you do not like Jeffree Star, if he offends you, if you do not like who he is as a person or agree with his morals, this is not the venue to vent your complaints. This post is purely discussing his cosmetics, and not him personally. Of course opinions on his cosmetics are always welcome, I am always happy to listen to thoughts about makeup, but this is not the avenue to discuss individuals or their businesses. I am here to discuss Jeffree Star Cosmetics not Jeffree Star as an individual.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics really shot to the top of notoriety during 2015, I am really not sure when the cosmetics company was initially launched, but it was 2015 when I stumbled upon this company which initially offered only his Velour Liquid Lipstick. Jeffree Star Cosmetics currently contains, Velour Liquid Lipsticks, Skin Frost’s, Eyeshadow Palette’s, Velour Lip Scrubs & newly launched Lip Ammunitions. While this is a brand focus, all I have to review from his range, is the Velour Liquid Lipstick, and one Skin Frost.

I have eight shades in the velour liquid lipsticks and one shade of the skin frost. I have been using the Velour Liquid Lipsticks relatively soon after they launched as I really enjoy a liquid to matte formula. I have only recently picked up one of the Skin Frosts that I purchased from the Black Friday sale.

These are my favourite formula of liquid lipsticks that I have ever used. These were the initial first offering from Jeffree Star Cosmetics, and I thoroughly enjoy that he took the time to produce an incredible formula that is as not excessively drying, is completely matte and does not transfer, I also thoroughly enjoy that when eating or drinking there is minimal removal of the liquid lipstick, obviously this does not include food contain oil as that will remove the liquid lipstick very quickly. These are my total favourite products on an evening out as they last so long that I do not need to worry about reapplying. The formula is gorgeously thin and does not feel like there is anything on the lips, another plus. I also love the huge variety of shades within the range, and there really is something for everyone with some of the shades being fantastic for everyday and others being far more unique, this will also mean that every skin tone can find the appropriate shade for them, something that most cosmetic brands fail to acknowledge.

I’m Nude, Mannequin, Celebrity Skin, Androgyny, Redrum, Unicorn Blood, Dominatrix & Weirdo.

I’m Nude, Mannequin & Celebrity Skin.

I sadly only have one shade from the skin frosts, but I sincerely hope that they are all the same formula, because I am so highly impressed with the shade ‘Ice Cold’. These are a highlight pigmented powder highlighter and can be so stunning on the face, I love that depending on which brush is used or how much is applied these can actually be sheered out, but please do not underestimate how intensively pigmented this product is. If you love a blinding highlight this will be up your alley, more so than my natural makeup ladies. I especially love this shade for an inner corner highlight as it adds so much brightness to the eye area. Another plus is that there is a huge range of shades within the Skin Frosts as well so I believe there would be something for every skin tone, which I think is one of the real strong points of Jeffree Star’s brand is the wide variety of shades within the Velour Liquid Lipsticks, Lip Ammunitions and Skin Frosts, I’m sure there will be more to come in the Eyeshadow Palette Range.

I have ordered Jeffree Star products from his website ( and also Beginning Boutique, which is an Australian online boutique. I also purchased some shades in person as IMATS Sydney. Jeffree Star Cosmetics online has always been a smooth process for myself, and roughly takes one to two weeks from the order to reach Sydney, Australia. I find that there are a large variety of online stockists and a couple of in store stockists. I have listed some below, but always try googling a brand to see what is the cheapest and fastest means of ordering.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics, BeautyLish, BeautyBay, Beginning Boutique, PepperMayo, Beauty Bliss, Windsor Smith Stores, Princess Polly, etc.

Thank you again for reading, if you have tried anything else from the Jeffree Star Cosmetics range, please let me know as I am always curious about trying more products. If you have any requests for upcoming blog posts, please leave them in the comments!
