From 03/02/17 to 14/02/17, I was travelling in Indonesia, staying in the Bali region. My best friend and I spent time in Seminyak, Nusa Lembongan & Ubud. I loved everywhere we went to, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I thought I would put together some of my favourite photo’s of the trip.
We stayed in the following locations and I will leave the hotels names below, along with small review of each, I have an upcoming post discussing travel recommendations such as where to eat and what to do in each location, be sure to subscribe to faceofsjw so you don’t miss out on an posts.
SEMINYAK: Villa Coco – Private Outdoor Villa.
Highly recommend these Villa’s if you’re after a private villa, but want something more affordable. Loved our stay here, the staff were truly fantastic, and the room was clean and exactly as described. Would happy stay again, and found it to be quite easy to travel around to the cafe’s and other areas that we wanted to go to, borders around the Seminyak, Legian & Kuta areas. There are a couple of different types of villas, we had an outdoor villa which we were a little nervous about, but it was gorgeous and had no issues with bugs in the bedroom.
NUSA LEMBONGAN: D’Nusa Beach Club & Resort – Lagoon Suite Room.
Such a gorgeous hotel set on the beach of Nusa Lembongan, the beach was gorgeous as well and very swim able which was lovely to walk out of the hotel into. The hotel was gorgeous, well maintained and very clean which is always appreciated. The staff were the true highlight and couldn’t have been more helpful if they tried, a true credit to the hotel and themselves. Location wise, it is probably a little bit further from Dream Bay and Mushroom bay than entirely ideal, but if you’re happy to hire a motorbike or can organise other transport with hotels, etc.
UBUD: Pertiwi Spa & Resort
Perfect location along Monkey Forest Road centrally located near local cafe’s and restaurants, the rooms left a little to be desired in all honesty. We arrived in the first room, and were moved before the first evening, due to dripping air-conditioning and general mould, which was disappointing, we were moved to another room, which also had mould and the slight dripping in the air-conditioning. The location was lovely, the setting of the entire resort was gorgeous and the staff were lovely, but the rooms could definitely do with some maintenance and better upkeep. If I were to go back to Ubud I would look at other places on Monkey Forest Road after the low up keep of both rooms we were in.
Thank you for reading, and for being so patient after all the delays to due technical difficulties since being back from my travels, I hope you enjoy this change of pace on my website, and the next post will be a more in depth look at where to eat and what to do when in Bali, Indonesia.
