I haven’t done a favourites post since I did my Top 5: 2016, that’s been three months of tireless product testing, exhaustive as it sounds. I love trying out new products to find gems that I enjoy and ones that I recommend for others. I have been trying out lots of skincare as always, with a dabble into some new makeup items as well, and even some new makeup brushes. Hair products have probably been my biggest discoveries this month, and a lot of them have been chatted about in my recent hair favourites.
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS – Glow Kit:
Ahhh Anastasia Beverly Hills, you can create hype like no other, and this product was no surprise that it became so popular so quickly. This is the only glow kit that I have in my collection, and honestly is the best highlighter palette I’ve ever dipped a brush into. I love the shades Sunbeam & Dripping In Gold the most, and the pan sizes are huge, just really cannot recommend this enough.
AVAILABLE FROM: Sephora, ABH (Online)
MODEL CO – Lash & Line:
Such a nifty little product with a mascara, and then liquid liner in the top lid, I just think this is so clever and perfect if you are worried about your wings cracking and your mascara needing a top up, they’re together. I can’t comment on the quality of the liquid liner as I am not a massive liner user myself so really haven’t dabbled with this one, but I can say that I adore the mascara for a mixture of volume and lengthening. I think this is just a great all round mascara that gets the job done, without having any specific genre.
AVAILABLE FROM: AdoreBeauty.com.au, RY.com.au, Woolworths.
SHU UEMURA – Urban Moisture Hydro Nourishing Double Serum:
Having hair almost touching my butt does create a unique set of issues, mainly the fact that my hair has been growing for so long (with regular trims) means that it can become dry and brittle if not looked after properly, especially after a very hot Australian Summer, and a very tropical holiday. I loving having hydrated hair that doesn’t feel weighed down or heavy, and this serum has been my favourite for that, I apply to wet hair and brush through and then my hair has more bounce to the curls because it is better hydrated.
AVAILABLE FROM: AdoreBeauty.com.au, Beauty Haven (Online).
KEUNE – Defrizz Serum:
If you have curly or wavy hair then you will have experienced frizz, I hate frizz, I hate my hair being fluffy, I hate my hair being unnamable and fluffy. I love when it isn’t frizzy, and this serum has been the first step in my newly discovered hair routine, and applied on wet hair and then brushed through, I’m loving this serum and it’s ability to be able to keep my hair far more manageable.
AVAILABLE FROM: Salons, Keune (Online).
OLE HENRIKSEN – Truth Serum Collagen Booster:
A cult favourite serum that has become one of the most noted products from Ole Henriksen, which is quite the achievement in it’s self. This serums adds life to my skin, that’s quite frankly the best way I can describe the effect of this product. My skin looks plumper, hydrated and mostly it looks bright, no signs of dullness. I adore this in my weekly rotation of serums, and even especially after a big night to avoid hung over skin.
AVAILABLE FROM: Sephora.
LANOLIPS – 101 Ointment:
I was very sick with a cold in the beginning of March as a lay over from the cold I had in February, as a result of the coughing and sneezing and block nose, I have found myself to have very dry lips, compounding this with increased exposure to air conditioning since a two week downpour of wet weather, my lips were crazy chapped constantly. This ointment from Lanolips has saved my lips from being dry and cracking off, keeps them hydrated and free from cracking.
AVAILABLE FROM: Mecca Maxima, Priceline, RY.com.au.
COVERFX – Custom Cover Drops:
These drops are a heaven sent for the fake tanning lovers out there like myself, without these drops I wouldn’t be able to use any of my lighter foundations (natural skin tone), when I have freshly applied tan or even the next couple of days after. I even love this product as a foundation alone on days that I want complete coverage, or especially long wearing makeup. Cannot recommend these enough as a clever little tool to manipulate foundations.
AVAILABLE: Sephora, PM Studio (Online).
RODIAL – Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Mask:
Dragon’s Blood is something that I don’t fully understand, but Hyaluronic acid is something I’m very aware of and invested in, a super hydrating ingredient that does wonders for my skin. I personally wear this mask overnight and apply a moisturising serum underneath, and voila, hydrated skin. I have been loving this in March in order to prep my skin for the colder weather coming, love it.
AVAILABLE FROM: ASOS (Online), Ulta Beauty (US), SpaceNK (UK), Selfridges (UK).
