I have had so many new products to try out at the end of March, that I really couldn’t wait to dive on in to all the new things that have landed on my desk. I have had so many lovely new discoveries and will be sharing some of them with you down below!
ORBIE – Shine & Waves Spray:
I have been putting a lot more effort into styling my hair, and trying to not heat style as much, and just working with my natural wave/curl. I always air dry my hair, and have found that I have been reaching for this Orbie Spray in order to add a little more hold and grip to my hair. If you love styling your hair in a pony tail then this is a god sent for adding some style to the hair once it’s in the pony, have been loving this for any styling.
CALVIN KLEIN – Deep Euphoria:
Calvin Klein fragrances are something that I associate with my boyfriend, he loves the cologne from the brand and I often purchase it for him as a gift, but I realised that aside from the male spectrum of fragrance, I hadn’t dabbled in much from CK. ‘Deep Euphoria’ has a mixture of floral, woody and musky scents, all of which combine together to be my recent favourite scent, I love the ability of this scent to seamlessly transfer from day to night, and find that I have been constantly reaching for it.
REAL TECHNIQUES – Miracle Complexion Sponge:
I had used real techniques sponges over a year ago, and hadn’t been back since after stocking up on Beauty Blenders, but when I received a set of 5 it was the perfect opportunity to test them out all over again, and I forgot how much I enjoyed them. While I have been loving my brushes lately, the sponge has been the perfect way to apply my liquid foundation without becoming cakey, a great affordable sponge.
MEDIK 8 – Pore Refining Toner:
My pores have been out of control on my t-zone, but my face has been less oily, go figure? Regardless I have been doing everything in my powder to reduce the size of my pores, and have been trailing a number of toners as the main way to combat my issue. This is my first introduction to the well loved brand Medik 8, and I understand why so many people swear by the brand. The toner does not dry out my skin, is not heavily scent and has been helping me manage my large pores, I have loved finding a toner that isn’t too harsh to use morning and night.
LOREAL – True Match Foundation:
I have been loving L’Oreal ‘True Match Foundation’ for months now, since my skin has gone from oily to normal-oily, I have been able to explore foundations that aren’t just matte based. I have been loving being able to using foundations that have a little more of a dewy effect to create a beautiful skin like canvas, this foundation has been my most used over this year I would say and I’ve been loving it for everyday wear. Definitely a built able foundation that can be made quite a sheer coverage, or can be made into a more full coverage look.
PUR COSMETICS – Correcting Primer:
PUR Cosmetics has been a recent favourite of mine recently and has really surprised me with the amount of high quality products they have in their range, there really hasn’t been anything that has disappointed me from the brand. Since recently testing out a few primers from the brand, I have been loving the correcting primer, and have to say it bears a lot of resemblance to the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer. While it isn’t substantially cheaper than the Hourglass primer, it is slightly and gives a very similar effect and feel, loving it under my foundation for a flawless base all day.
GENIE BEAUTY – Cashmere Powder:
Genie Beauty I feel goes under the radar a little in the beauty community, and I personally had not used anything from the brand until earlier this year, and the cashmere powder has been a fabulous first introduction to the brand. While I normally stay more toward the translucent powder, this is a coloured powder that adds a littler coverage, while making the skin still appear natural and glowing, I love how this makes my skin look, and helps keep my makeup set for a full day.
Thank you for reading, I hope you have enjoyed my monthly favourites for April, please let me know in the comments if you have any favourites from this past month!
