All hair styling was created by the incredible Redken Australia Styling Team.
Swim is a culmination of a variety of designers, and an extended showing of the upcoming swimmer for the Resort Season for 2018. Swim is a gorgeous, relaxed, and very Australian feeling show, and the hair was a gorgeous accessory to the shows. The hair was wet with a mixture of product and water, and allowed to dry, and then once it has been dried, more product and water can be applied, to further create the ‘wet hair look’.
Yousef Akbar was an incredible display of individuality and eccentric style. The designs involved lots of silk, sequins and tassels. The hair for the show was heavily teased and sprayed into extra large buns. The glossy dark lip was a highlight for me personally, and flattered all skin tones.
This show was a stark contrast to the others I viewed, as it focuses on simplicity and minimalism. The clothing was all clean lines with lots of cotton and denim, but having more emphasis on colouring, rather than design or patterns. The hair and beauty was all simple, with an emphasis on natural beauty and features, and keeping the hair styling incredibly simple.
