Burberry makeup is something I’ve never had the luxury of testing out previously, but have always ooe’d and ah’d over the beautiful packaging and often admired the incredible imprints on many of their pressed powder products. While they are spendy as far as beauty products go, they’re honestly not as expensive as I had personally assumed, and are quite comparable to other brands available at Sephora in Australia.
The packaging is truly so luxe, and everything feels sturdy, which I think is a huge must when products have a luxury price tag. I have swatches and a full review of the three style products below.
‘KISSES SHEER’ MOISTURISING SHINE LIP COLOUR:
SHADE = CAMELLIA #229.
This moisturising lip colour was a big surprise for me personally, it has the appearance of a lipstick, the feel of a stick of balm, the fade out of a stain and the colour payoff of a gloss. A little hard to classify, but a product that I’ve been enjoying far more than I anticipated, I love the feel of these, and the beautiful natural fade out of the colour is similar to that of a balm, avoiding the colour from looking harsh. This shade is the perfect ‘fresh’ face kind of shade with a beautiful mixture of bright pink and red. That packaging was enough to make me fall in love before I had even opened it.
‘FIRST KISS’ FRESH GLOSS LIP BALM:
SHADE = CORAL GLOW #2. SHADE = CRUSHED RED #4.
These lip balms have completely changed the way I feel about anything with the word ‘gloss’ in the title. While this may sound dramatic, I believe it’s justified, as I previously never went near anything gloss based, but these are truly stunning. These balms have a very thin but lightly pigmented consistency, and a high shine, glossy appearance, but absolutely zero sticky feel, zero! That’s a first for a glossy product that I’ve used. I can’t wait to wear these in the Spring and Summer with the subtle colour tint and the gorgeous appearance on the lips.
‘LIP COLOUR CONTOUR’ PRIME, CONTOUR & SCULPT STICK:
SHADE = FAIR #1. SHADE = LIGHT #2.
My new favourite lip product right here, I know that is a big statement, but since having incredibly dry lips since the beginning of Autumn, these have to be my favourite go to lip product. The two shades I have are the perfect nude shades, Fair is more brown based and Light is more pink based, I even love creating an ombre look with them, using Fair on the outer part of lip, and then using Light in the middle areas. I love the crayon form and their lasting power, whilst not drying the lips at all.
These products aren’t cheap, let’s be real, Burberry truly falls into the luxury makeup category, with all of these products hovering around the $50AUD price range. I never personally felt the need to dip my metaphorical feet into the luxury makeup pool, but these lip products have all blown me out of the water.
The shades are all so wearable, and that packaging in it’s self is a work of art. I love the attention to detail, even with the box packaging and the emboss of logo. I think these are such a gorgeous luxury and something that I can’t wait to use, as well as finding a spot to display them in my collection.
I’ve swatched all products on my very pale arm below.
TOP – BOTTOM:
- Coral Glow #2.
- Crushed Red #4.
- Camellia #229.
- Fair #1.

While I know I’m too late for Mother’s Day in Australia this year, I can say that I think a Burberry lip product would make a gorgeous gift, for anyone who loves makeup, beauty, fashion or who just loves oozing in class, because these products are nothing short of life’s little luxuries, something that I personally adore. I’m sure you’ll be seeing much more of these in the coming months.
