Monthly favourites are some of my favourite posts to write and to read others, it forces me to dig through my makeup bag and evaluate what I had been loving in the past month. I think it’s a fabulous way to share some real gems with others. While I love favourites, I haven’t done one in months, so I had so many products I wanted to write about, but I kept it to a small minimum of products that I really love to avoid making the post too lengthy.
L’OREAL PRO GLOW FOUNDATION:
Having already posted a full review of the foundation, I can comfortably say that I have never used up a foundation so quickly while having so many foundations in my collection. I love the glowing look that this foundation leaves on my skin and surprisingly long wearing considering the natural finish, it works well with the NYX Angel Veil primer and the Maybelline Fit Me loose powder.
MARC JACOBS VELVET NOIR MASCARA:
A very recent favourite of mine and mascara that I had heard great things about previously and always ogled all over the packaging for it’s aesthetically pleasing appearance. I love the mascara and the look on my lashes, even more so looking forward to it drying out a little and it think it will be even more beautiful on the lashes.
COVERFX CUSTOM ENHANCER DROPS ‘MOONLIGHT’:
My love affair with these CoverFX highlighting drops is never ending and these are my second colour in my collection. I adore these mixed in with my foundation or applied generously to my cheek bones and blended out with my duo fibre kabuki brush for a ‘glow from within’ look on the cheeks. I love the shade range and Moonlight is my current favourite, definitely something to check out if you love a glowing complexion.
HOURGLASS AMBIENT LIGHTING BRONZER ‘LUMINOUS BRONZE LIGHT’:
Hourglass bronzers never seem to disappoint me, while they are expensive and can be a little unrealistic to buy the full collection, they are always fabulous products and I really haven’t been left down by anything from the brand. The bronzer is so finely milled and creates the most natural shadow with a mixture of shimmer and matte.
OBAGI PROFESSIONAL – C SERUM 15%:
Obagi has long time been a favourite brand of mine and vitamin C products are another favourite of mine. This C serum comes in three variation being the 10%, 15% and 20% serum, which allows even the most sensitive skin to be able to enjoy the benefits of vitamin C, personally the 15% is my favourite as it is mild but effective. The brightening effects of vitamin C make it a favourite of mine.
PHILOSOPHY SKINCARE ‘TAKE A DEEP BREATHE NIGHT GEL BALM’:
Being my second tub of this gel balm, I have to say it’s my all time favourite night moisturiser to use. I love the gel balm consistency and how refreshing it feels on my skin, especially in warmer weather. Incredibly hydrating and soaks into the skin quite quickly which is a favourite aspect of mine. Feels beautiful on my dehydrated skin and works well in conjunction with any serums underneath.
BONDI SANDS 1 HOUR EXPRESS:
I cannot remember another tan causing this much of a fuss, everyone has been talking about this tan. I now understand why, it is a beautiful dark tan that dries quickly and can be washed off a minimum of 1 hour after, I prefer to leave it closer to 2-3 hours to make it a little bit darker. I find that this tan actually lasts very nicely on my skin in comparison to other tans. Definitely my favourite from the Bondi Sands range.
REAL TECHNIQUES ‘POINT L’ BRUSH:
Powder brushes are something that I am probably unnecessarily fussy about, I hate brushes that are especially large, or a little too small. I like brushes that are just right, I sound like goldilocks I know, but this brush is just right. It’s lightly pointed, and well weighted, and Real Techniques brushes have all lasted so beautifully in my collection, so I am very excited to have discovered one of their newest brushes.
Thank you for reading, and for any of you have stuck around after I’ve been so temperamental with posting recently, I will hopefully be more organised with scheduling posts and not getting so far behind in my posting. If there’s any reuquest for website posts you’d like to see on my website, please let me know!
