‘Inspired by Marc’s very own shameless attitude, and his tattoo that serves as a daily reminder to strive for self-acceptance, this foundation brings out the best in your skin.’ This was the inspiration of the newest foundation release ‘Shameless’ from Marc Jacobs Beauty.

The Shameless foundation claims to be a long-wearing foundation with a youthful appearance, containing skincare benefits, perfectly shameless coverage and broad spectrum SPF 25.
Personally, initially, I didn’t think the foundation could live up to the coverage claim because it appears quite natural on the skin. However, after using the foundation multiple times I found that I could increase the coverage easily on my problems areas, without overapplying foundation. The foundation builds coverage beautifully and does not become cakey or excessively oily throughout the day on my normal-combination complexion.
I have been loving how natural this foundation appears on my skin, whilst being able to cover redness, rough texture and problem areas of concern. The foundation is suggested to apply best with the specially designed ‘Shameless Liquid Foundation Brush’ but since I do not have this particular brush, I’ve been using either a damp beauty sponge or a kabuki style brush.
This foundation has gone above and beyond for me personally and does last all day. I find that it works best when applied on top of the Marc Jacobs Beauty ‘Invisible Undercover Perfecting Coconut Primer’. The primer from the brand’s gorgeous Coconut collection helps to create a hydrated base for the foundation to seamlessly apply on top of. The foundation and primer combination also apply well when mixed with a liquid highlighter to create an extra dewy base. I imagine the new ‘Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter’ in ‘Metallic Fantasy’ would mix in beautifully with this foundation and primer combination.
Please let me know if you’ve used this foundation and or the primer and how your experience with either product has been, always looking to hear others opinions on products I’ve been loving. Thank you as always for reading!
