SKINCARE: Cleansing – Balms.

CLEANSING SERIES – PART ONE:

The first place I start my cleansing routine is with a balm style product normally, as I find they work well to remove the bulk of my makeup swiftly and without drying out my skin if I’m planning on using another cleansing product after.

I’ve listed some of my favourite cleansing balms below and links to be able to access them online. The links are not an affiliate and are simply links that I’ve sourced from googling the products, there are obviously more options for places to access these products, but are either stores or websites that I’ve had positive experiences with.

CLINIQUE – Take Off The Day Balm $56AUD:

I love this Clinique balm, and it’s probably my favourite of the lot thanks to how well it takes off my makeup. While this is the second most expensive of the cleansing balms, it comes in a huge jar that lasts ages even when using it nightly. I love the feel of this balm, and how it only takes a small piece of this balm to be able to remove all makeup.  It also feels very hydrating on the skin and doesn’t leave a residue on the skin making it easy to remove.

NATURA SIBERICA – White Cleansing Butter $29.99AUD:

Northern Collection White Cleansing Butter

This has the most unique texture of all of the mentioned balms, and as it is named it is more of a butter, creamier texture than the other balm cleansers. This is a thick white paste in appearance, and I love that once it emulsifies on the skin you are able to see all of the makeup coming off the face. Natura Siberica is available from Chemist Warehouse so making it readily available to most Australians with so many locations throughout Australia, and they often do sales throughout their ranges.

DERMALOGICA – Pre Cleanse Balm $65AUD:

The main point of difference for this balm is that it comes in a squeeze tube making it perfect to travel with. I love that it comes in a squeeze tube which makes it a bit easier to use when travelling, and also creates slightly less mess rather than digging into a tub, anyone with long acrylic or SNS nails will understand the difficulty. The Dermalogica Pre Cleanse range is all fabulous, and this balm fits in beautifully to my cleaning routine. It leaves the skin ultra hydrated and feeling fresh and ready to either be further cleansed or ready to apply a full skincare routine.

TRILOGY – Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm $38.99AUD:

This cleansing balm is also infused with rosehip oil as well so it does have a slightly more hydrating element to it in comparison to some other cleansing balms. I love the smell of rosehip, so this one has a couple of lovely little positives to it. They are also a really fantastic ethical brand that is non-GMO, cruelty-free and has recyclable packaging just to name a few. So if you’re looking for an ethical skincare brand in general then I do really recommend checking out Trilogy.

Thank you as always for reading, and don’t forget to check out all of the December content constantly going up with a post a day. Let me know if there are any cleansing balms that you love and think everyone needs to try!
