CLEANSING SERIES – PART THREE:
Foam cleansers are the last stage of my cleansing routine, and I use them to ensure that my skin is completely clean after removing all makeup, pollutants and dirt from the day. The main concern I have regarding foam and gel cleansers is that they at times can be drying on my skin, so finding ones that don’t dry the skin are key to ensuring that my skin remains hydrated and clean simultaneously.
I’ve listed some of my favourite foam and gel cleansers below and links to be able to access them online. These are not affiliate links and are simply links that I’ve sourced from googling the products, there are obviously more options for places to access these products, but are either stores or websites that I’ve had positive experiences with.
SHISEIDO – Clarifying Cleansing Foam $68AUD:
Shiseido skincare makes me melt, it’s always so luxe, but isn’t all about appearances, as it still feels beautiful on the skin. I love that this initially feels like a cream cleanser, but then foams into a gel feeling cleanser. The initial cream feeling leaves the skin feel hydrated, but still effectively cleanses the skin in a way that I don’t normally experience with cream cleansers.
CLINELLE – Pure Swiss Hydra-Calm Cleansing Gel $
While I’ve really struggled to find this brand online in Australia, I believe it is stocked in Priceline and I’ve really thoroughly enjoyed their Hydra-Calm range, as it leaves my skin so super hydrated, especially considering how drying some foam and gel cleansers can be. If you can find this brand and their Hydra-Calm range then I really recommend checking it out as it is affordable and feels beautiful on the skin whilst also removing makeup.
AMPERNA – Ultra Gentle Soothing Cleanser $40AUD:
A really fantastic Australian skincare brand that is run out of Sydney, I have really been enjoying their skincare range as of late. Their skincare is all based around being effective skincare for sensitive skin, which is why I have been loving this soothing gentle cleanser as it doesn’t irritate any redness in my skin but still removes my makeup effectively. Perfect for use on bare skin, or after using a balm or oil cleanser.
SKINSTITUT – Gentle Cleanser $49AUD:
I’ve talked about the Skinstitut range enough and also have a full post regarding Skinsitut coming up in the coming week. I love this gel cleanser and how gentle it is on my skin whilst effectively cleansing my skin. Skinstitut also has a Glycolic Cleanser and a Lactic Cleanser, so there is something for every skin type. The gentle cleanser is perfect for days when my skin is feeling especially red or reactive.
DERMALOGICA – Clear Start Foaming Wash $29AUD:
The Dermalgoica Clear Start range is perfect for anyone with acne-prone or problematic skin, and I personally love using this around my hormonal period of each month to try and prevent future breakouts and minimising pore size and general oil levels, without stripping the skin of what it natural needs. A surprisingly affordable skincare range available in Dermalogica clinics and Mecca Maxima.
Thank you for reading, and please let me know if there is a foam or gel cleanser that is a part of your routine that you think everyone needs to try. Don’t forget to check out the rest of my Cleansing Series including my quick little introduction with a separate post on Balm and Oil cleansers.
