HAIR: Favourite Hair Masks.

Having hair that reaches my tailbone I do need to look after it well to ensure that it is healthy, and not prone to breakages. I find that hair masks that are ultra-hydrating also help to maintain my colour, as well as allowing me to continue my hair growth, without becoming damaged and brittle.

As someone who loves a bath, and probably have one around once a week or once a fortnight, I do use a leave-in hair mask every time I have a bath, or sometimes if I’m time poor in the shower instead of my regular conditioner, I put the mask in my hair, and then tie it up in a hair tie, and then shave legs, scrub off tan or whatever else I have to do in the shower.

Hair masks have been an essential way that I help prevent damage in my hair, help maintain my artificial colour and allow for my hair to stay longer rather than having to have huge chunks cut off each time I go to the salon.

REDKEN – EXTREME MEGA MASK TREATMENT $39.95AUD:

A clever little combination mask of two different creams that when squeezed in the middle section mix beautifully together to give a really lovely hydrating mask. I love that this one seems to be effective faster, and doesn’t leave a residue or heavy feeling after being washed out that some leave in masks can create. Perfect for local travel because it comes in a squeeze tube and no danger of it being broken in the shower which I love because I drop everything quite frankly.

SHU UEMURA – UBRAN MOISTURE HYDRO-NOURISHING TREATMENT $68AUD:

Shu Uemura makes some of the most luxe hair care that I’ve ever used, and their Urban Moisture is the favourite that I’ve tried from the brand. This is probably the most hydrating and moisturising of all four mentioned. I love the scent, and how rich this cream feels. I also find that I don’t need to use as much of this mask as I do with cheaper supermarket versions.

PUREOLOGY – SUPERFOOD STRENGTH CURE $51.95AUD:

I love hydrating masks, and I love that this one is designed to maintain hair length and help prevent breakage. Pureology is one of my favourite brands and has my favourite shampoo and conditioner of all time, and this mask makes a beautiful addition. The perfect way to ensure that hair is strong and not in danger of becoming brittle.

DE LORENZO – TREATMENT WITH BAOBAB PROTEIN & GINKGO BILOBA $29.95AUD:

De Lorenzo make beautiful haircare that fits nicely between the supermarket price range, and below the salon price range, but the quality is far closer to salon quality that supermarket. I love this treatment, and while I have no idea what the two title ingredients are, they make my hair feel amazing. This mask is super hydrating and leaves my hair smelling amazing even once it’s dry, which is such a nice touch without being overpowering or irritating.

Thank you for reading, and I hope I’ve given you some ideas for maybe some upcoming hair mask purchases if you’re in the market for a new one. Let me know if there are any hair masks that you’ve been using and loving!
