Gift Guide

GIFT GUIDE: Fur Friends.

So, this is a pretty niche post, as I understand that not everybody lives with either a dog or cat, and also that some people don’t take Christmas as seriously as I do.

However, I’m super excited to discuss some of the fabulous gift ideas, and Christmas pieces I have found for my gorgeous Ragdoll cat, Elvis and Newfoundland puppy, Winnie.

If you follow my Instagram you will be very familiar with Elvis & Winnie, and if you didn’t know they now have their own Instagram (shameless plug) @friendswithfurs because I take too many photos of them not to share. Elvis doesn’t feature as often as he still isn’t a huge fan of Winnie, and honestly sleeps majority of the day.

So, I’ve been collating fun things for my favourite little furry duo for Christmas this year. Winnie is much easier to buy for as there seems to be more items for dogs as oppose to cats targeted towards Christmas, but also because Winnie isn’t a super fussy eater like Elvis, which adds another challenge.

Personalised Christmas Stockings – Rover Pet Products:

This is a great small business find as they are based out of the Hunter Valley in NSW, and hand sew all of the personalisation in their warehouse. I’ve bought collars, leashes and treats from the brand before and can’t recommend their craftsmanship and quality enough. These stockings were too cute to pass up and are perfect because they can obviously be reused for years to come. The only caveat, order ASAP in order to receive before Christmas as these are produced by hand, they need to be ordered with some turn around time.

Laila & Me – Treat Advent Calendar:

I couldn’t resist this, such a cute advent calendar, and made by one of my favourite treat brands for Winnie. Another great small business to support, and with a really great product slightly unique for Christmas time! These are sold out on the Laila & Me website, but I got mine from Zach’s Pet Shop online, and I believe there were a couple of other online stockists.

Laila & Me – Reindeer Poop:

Despite being titled ‘Reindeer Poop’ these treats are actually dehydrated beef lung, so a healthy treat during the holiday season for your fur friend. They have very pleasing packaging for the human dispensing. As mentioned above Laila & Me is a great small business based in Melbourne. They also have some discount codes with affiliates, so have a look for a couple of $ off.

Companion Gear – Paw Print Keepsake:

Super cute little keepsake to hang on the treat, and have your dog or cats name in it. I picked mine up from Best Friends Pet Supplies. I know My Pet Warehouse stocks them online, if Best Friends stores aren’t accessible in your area. Perfect thing to hang on the tree year after year.

Thank you for reading! I hope you have a fantastic holiday season with your friends and family wether that be in person or virtually this year. If you are lucky enough to have a fur friend as I am, I hope you can find a cute gift for them.
